A Teochew Wish…

What tastes better than a piping hot bowl of springy kueh in a flavourful duck broth garnish with cilantro?  It’s a separate bowl of Kueh Chap and another serve of extra duck to dip into that simple pique vinegar flavoured chilli sauce.

The duck has been braised tender, deboned and served with slathering of crunchy garlic bits with oil.
More cilantro. More Oomph!

There’s more to dig and find in your XL bowl with extras, braised egg, more sliced duck and spare parts. Slurp that soup. Still not satisfied? Order a bowl of Almond Tea with Yew Char Kueh and dip the YCK into the duck broth, just like you would at a BKT joint.
Sometimes I wish I’m Teochew. All that broth with simple dishes, duck, kueh chap, chai kueh and chendol comes to mind. So tempting and hard to resist!
